Sam's Bar Mitzvah was simply a fantastic way to start 2011... His celebration was fun, intense and definitely one for the records, thanks to careful planning and a lot of creativity. The big day started at Temple Emanu-El in Miami Beach, where Sam did a great job, and in the evening it was party time at Jungle Island, an incredible place to have a party like this. Everything went perfectly, from the great animation provided by Dale to the impeccable catering from Jungle Island itself. Mazel Tov to the Cohens, it was an honor for me to be part of such an event in your lives!

After a very busy and intense 2010, I took a couple of weeks off - and offline - to sail away with the family on a cruise and recharge the batteries for the new year. I promised myself I would take a rest from the camera and just spend the days enjoying having nothing to do but read, appreciate the view and be together with my family. For the most part I succeeded, but I couldn't help taking a few photos here and there, mainly looking for simple images: shapes, colors and such. It felt really good to photograph without a purpose for a change, and here are a few of these pointless photos...

Noah's big day was a complete success! It started with a perfect service at Temple B'nai Aviv in the morning, were Noah showed how prepared he was for his Bar Mitzvah, and ended just as well as it begun, with a fun party at Temple Beth Emet in the evening. His guests were treated to great music and entertainment, thanks to David and his Pure Energy crew, who never stopped keeping the dance floor completely crowded, and Noah had a blast, just like his whole family. Congrats, Noah, it was truly a pleasure to have been there for such an incredible moment!

Nicha and Pierre's was the most intimate wedding I photographed this year, and one of the most beautiful too! They came all the way from Chicago to tie the knot at the Morikami Gardens, in Delray Beach. Along with them came a select group of friends and family members, all escaping the cold and snow, and they celebrated in style until late in the evening. All in all, it was an incredible day for Nicha and Pierre, and I wish them a lifetime of happy moments together!

Emily was Bat Mitzvah'd this past weekend at Temple Dor Dorim, in Weston, and she performed amazingly in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Rabbi Lipson. A kiddush luncheon followed right after at the Temple, and in the evening it was time for her friends to party like crazy at the Society Lounge, a nice and cozy ball room at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure. Angelo, from Platinum Gold, had the kids dancing all night long, and Emily had a great time, just as Nanci, Steve and older sister Hannah did. The Africks are simply fantastic, and it was an honor for me to be celebrating once again with them. Mazel Tov!

Ari and Noah's big day is right around the corner, and we recently went to a nice place in Delray, called Covered Bridge Park, to take a few photos prior to their B'nai Mitzvah. It was an absolute beautiful afternoon, and the boys were simply fantastic to photograph. So were Lara and David, both also completely at ease in front of the lenses. Looking forward to celebrate with the Srours in a few weeks more...

Wonderful pictures. They capture all aspects of the boys' personalities as well as the obvious love generated by the family.
