This place in Grand Cayman is called Stingray City, a tourist attraction with a ton of daily visitors from all the big ships that stop here, but even so it's still a fantastic place to visit. Swimming with these beauties is something very special, they are completely friendly and love to be around people. I'm on the second photo, taken by my son Eduardo, who appears on the first and third one doing his own dance of the stingrays... Amazing experience!

Stephanie Robin and Akon were the big stars in a memorable night at Mizner Park in Boca Raton. Stephanie leads Think Pink, an organization dedicated to raise awareness about early detection of and genetic testing for breast cancer (providing funding for screening, treatment and research as well). The organization was founded in 2005, and this year brought us the second edition of Think Pink Rocks, with a huge turnaround and many amazing moments. Besides Akon, who made the crowd go crazy with his incredible performance, the stage was shared by Shontelle, Melanie Fiona, Kardinal Offishall, DJ Cassidy, American Yard and DJ Webstar.

I was thrilled to be there to document it all and to see the fantastic support that Stephanie and her friends at Think Pink are getting for their cause. It felt good, Stephanie, hope to be there for next year's too! And keep on fighting, always...

This past week I attended the US Masters Swimming Long Course Championship in Indianapolis, together with my coach Raphael Lima and Gregg Podalsky. We represented the Midtown Athletic from Weston, and it as an incredible experience! I've been away from swimming for, humm..., some 35 years, and it's been two months since I decided to come back to training, so I was there for the experience and to know what it takes to be competitive again.

After seeing some very nice people on their 80's feeling like little kids at their first competition, I couldn't stop thinking about how great this sport is, and I'm glad to be back at it. Next year's Nationals will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I have already started training!

Raphael and Gregg did really good and brought some nice medals back home, while I got some experience, a lot of good memories and some photos too. Here are a few of them...

Dear New Friends from Midtown, meeting Ricardo and Raphael at the USMS LCM Nationals in Indy was one of the highlights of the event. Ricardo thanks so much for all the pix and video. Raphael thanks so much for all the support and tips, it helped a lot. Jen and I were thrilled to have met you guys. I am for sure looking forward to swimming in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2010. Ricardo, it's HUGE to step back into competitive swimming during the LCM National meeting (Congratulations on your times!). I am sure you will improve for next year. Let's keep in touch. Swim fast!! These are a few images from my favorite big city in the world. Paris is full of little secrets, and a place where one can never get tired of walking around. This is specially true when you happen to have your camera with you! Always a pleasure to be back there...

Please allow me for a rare personal post here, but it was a big day for Juliana and for all our family... She graduated Magna Cum Laude at FIU, in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and now begins a new chapter in her life. Four years of hard work - and some partying as well, from what we understand, but it was all worth it. Best of luck, Ju, always... Love from Mom and I!
