Jessica and Kevin's much anticipated engagement session took place yesterday in Miami Beach, and it was well worth the wait... We started the show at Lincoln Road, one of Miami Beach's landmarks, and from there we went for a few nightime skyline photos by the MacArthur Causeway, before quickly stopping by Ocean Drive for some last photos. They are a fantastic couple and it was an absolute pleasure to be with them. Now begins the long wait until next April, when they will be tying the knot. I'm looking forward to it already...

Lots of green all around... The Flamingo Gardens, in Davie, was the chosen location for Regina and Brian's engagement photos this past Saturday. We beat the heat, the humidity and the spiders, and we even managed to avoid the ever present rain that has become an end-of-the-day event this summer, so we all had a very good time together. Their wedding is not until February, but we have already had a good start!

Regina:

I'm so excited! They came out gorgeous! You can't even tell that it was so hot outside and that I was really scared of that big peacock! :) We had so much fun! You are the best! Thanks so much Ricardo! -Regina

Ricardo Serpa:

Thanks, Regina, I'm glad you liked them so much! Yes, looking at the photos we can't begin to imagine how hot it was there. As for the peacock, though, you weren't that scared at all - I'd say cautious better describes it! :-)

The rain didn't stop Patrícia and Rafael this past Saturday, although it tried as hard as it could... They just kept laughing at it, as their wedding ceremony moved from outdoors, to indoors and to outdoors again. With a very intimate audience, only members of their families, this hide-and-seek game with the weather didn't put a single dent to their happiness, and they were simply ecstatic over the whole evening. Way to go, Patrícia and Rafael, I'll meet you in a couple of days for a "day after" session at the beach. More water on our way... :-))

After they incredible wedding back in May, Sofia and Doug felt the urge to go back to Vizcaya once again and relive a bit of their special day there. No guests this time, just the two of them, for a quick and fun "remember the day" session. Doug came as character from an old Mafia movie, and Sofia was herself (as a beautiful bride) and just went along... Good times with you, guys!

Lisa and Ed got married last Sunday at The Breakers, in Palm Beach. A fantastic venue for a fantastic couple, who deserved having such an emotional and happy day. The weather didn't allow for the outdoor ceremony they had planned, but Plan B worked like a charm, and the room couldn't look any nicer. The reception happened at the amazing Circle Room, with the energy being guaranteed by The Marcia Mitchell Party Band, performing beautifully all night long. At the end, Lisa and Ed surprised their guests with a very rehearsed tango final dance. Glad to have been there!

I met Nelly and Brian almost one year ago, when they came to the studio for a quick portrait session. They had been together for quite some time then, but there was no talks of a wedding, or at least they didn't let me know back then. A couple of months ago, Nelly finally told me about the plans and I couldn't feel happier for both of them. They are an amazing couple and deserved to have the fantastic and emotional wedding day they had this past Saturday. The ceremony was held at the cozy Church-by-the-Sea, in Ft. Lauderdale, and the party followed right after at the Weston Hills Country Club. No cake, no bouquet, no speech and no toast: just a fantastic and intense party for all their close friends, exactly what they wanted. Well done!
